- 1’ X 1’ Platforms are primarily used to elevate a 4X8 or 4X4 platform by 12”
- We suggest you not use 1X1s for students to stand on. They are very strong and will hold a great deal of weight pressing straight down, but the little feet cause them to tip over easily if the actor doesn’t step exactly in the center. Readers Theatre Cubes are flat on the bottom and are less likely to tip over. For non-UIL purposes, cutting off the feet (or ordering them that way) make them a lot more stable.
- 1′ X 1′ Platforms are part of the Modular Unit Set used by Texas UIL, Florida Jr Thespians, LAUSD and others.
- They are especially useful to help provide levels in scenic elements.
